Wisconsin Herd: Meet the 2019-20 opening night roster
Frank Mason III
The first of the Bucks’ two-way players this season, Frank Mason will be relied on to lead the Herd this year when down with the affiliate in Oshkosh.
Mason came to the Bucks organization over the summer after his two-year stint with the Sacramento Kings wrapped up where they waived Mason after the start of free agency. Over his two seasons with the Kings, Mason averaged 6.8 points on .392/.300/.773 shooting splits, 2.6 assists and 1.9 rebounds across 15.8 minutes per game over 90 total appearances.
After having to wait for his next stop in the open market throughout the first couple of weeks in July, the Bucks tabbed Mason with the second of their two-way contract slots and we’ve already seen our fair share of Mason in a Bucks uniform as he got some good run during their undefeated preseason.
Now as he attempts to restart his young NBA career, getting plenty of reps with the Herd in the G League could be the perfect setting for the former Naismith award winner to do so, as well as get looks up with the parent club throughout the year.
