Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for at home versus Utah Jazz
And all that Jazz
Winners of their last three, as mentioned previously, the Jazz come into Milwaukee looking to play spoiler to the Bucks’ current streak.
While they continue to be led by their superstar guard Donovan Mitchell, who’s in the midst of a great start to the year, Utah’s offense continues to lag behind, as evidenced by their 21st ranking in offensive efficiency, per NBA.com/stats. That can be explained by the struggles of both Mike Conley and Joe Ingles, with the latter being in the midst of a hellish start as he’s averaging 6.4 points per game on .330/.290/.778 shooting splits.
That’s certainly evened out by the Jazz ranking at the top of the league in defensive efficiency. The big question is whether they’ll have their defensive anchor in two-time Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert, available for action as he’s currently questionable with a left ankle sprain, which had kept him out of their win over the Pelicans Saturday night.
Gobert’s status will hang over the Jazz and whether they’ll be capable of taking both games they play against the Bucks in their season series this year, but it won’t make them any less of a tough out in the event the French big man is out, given the weapons they have elsewhere.
