Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 122-118 win over Utah Jazz
Taking a second chance
As the Bucks took full advantage of the absence of Rudy Gobert by penetrating the paint through their superstar in Antetokounmpo, there were also able to take advantage of the Jazz’s size weaknesses on the glass throughout the night.
That helped them on the offensive end where the Bucks were able to pull down 15 offensive rebounds and extend possessions, often at critical times as well.
And Milwaukee was incredibly efficient and capitalized on their second chance opportunities by converting 28 second chance points for the game. Utah, meanwhile, only snared four offensive rebounds and were limited to a pair of second chance points on such opportunities.
Antetokounmpo obviously loomed large in this regard as he was often able to clean up his own misses to subsequently put down second chance points and he tallied a season-high 11 second chance points last night.
Given the blazing offensive performance the Jazz put together, the Bucks cleaned up on the margins, such as on the offensive glass, to tilt the game in their favor and complete their incredible second half comeback.
The Bucks will look for a potential ninth straight victory when they host the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night for a 7pm CT tilt at Fiserv Forum.
