Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 121-109 loss to Philadelphia 76ers
O Christmas Three
Despite warnings that they would shoot their eye out, the 76ers put together an incredible shooting performance that was one of the biggest reasons why they were able to down the Bucks Wednesday afternoon.
The 76ers finished the day setting a franchise record for most made triples in a single game with 21 and tallied a 47.7 percent clip on their 44 attempts from that range of the floor.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, went 13-of-33 from long distance in their loss for a 39.4 3-point percentage. And it was the triumverate of George Hill, Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton who supplied 11 of those 13 made threes for the Bucks.
Nearly all of the 76ers’ spacing threats like Tobias Harris, Al Horford and Furkan Korkmaz did damage from 3-point range and All-Star big man Joel Embiid joined the party with three treys of his own as the Bucks were content to let him fly. Fifteen of Philly’s 21 triples came from their starting lineup alone.
The 76ers could never replicate such a shooting performance, especially one that well exceeded the volume they’ve posted up until this season point in the season (30.2 3-point attempts). Even still, outlier nights happen for all NBA teams and that was certainly the case Wednesday for Philly.
