Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 121-109 loss to Philadelphia 76ers
No margin for error
As if the 76ers’ lights out shooting wasn’t enough, they certainly were able to better the Bucks in decisive ways.
For starters, the 76ers outrebounded the Bucks 49-47 for the contest. However, it was Philadelphia’s ability to extend possessions all throughout the day that proved to be a key difference as their 14 offensive rebounds led to 16 second chance points. That mark is the third-most second chance points a Bucks opponent has compiled this season.
Secondly, the 76ers only turned over the ball on seven occasions, a far cry from the 15.6 turnovers per game they’ve logged so far this season, which ranks 20th in the NBA. The Bucks, under head coach Mike Budenholzer, have never been a team that looks to force turnovers, but the 8.2 opponent turnover percentage the 76ers collected is the second-lowest number from a Bucks opponent this year.
With all of that in mind, along with the 76ers’ strong offensive performance, that is simply not a recipe for victory for the Bucks, much less any team in general.
The Bucks will look to bounce back Friday night when they take on the Atlanta Hawks for a 6.30 p.m. central time tilt at State Farm Arena.
