The Warriors’ new reality

Life comes at you fast doesn’t quite capture just how rapid the Warriors have gone from being the NBA’s very best team, to being right in the mix for the title of its worst.

Of course, that may ultimately prove to only be temporary, as so much of the misery Warriors fans have been subjected to this year is tied to the absence of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson through injury.

Still, this was not the way that anyone planned or anticipated the team’s first season at Chase Center turning out.

Heading into Wednesday’s game, the Warriors are 9-29, just one game in the win column up on the Atlanta Hawks, the current owners of the league’s worst record.

Players such as Alec Burks, Eric Paschall, and Damion Lee have had to step up as the team’s leading lights at times. While Draymond Green will likely play against the Bucks, D’Angelo Russell remains sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Heading into the game, this Warriors squad leaves nothing to be feared.
