Davis Bertans

Another season without superstar John Wall means another struggling season for the Washington Wizards, who are 13-25. Milwaukee should take advantage of this and call about one of their key players. No, not Bradley Beal, but Davis Bertans.

Bertans has been stellar in his first season for the Wizards, averaging 15.3 points on 44.8 percent shooting from the field. The 27-year-old is doing most of his damage from behind the arc, shooting 43.2 percent from three-point range. Though he has been streaky as of late, adding a guy like this to any team is a game-changer.

The big man’s ability to provide a spark off the bench with his rapid-fire shooting fits right in with this team. The reserves of Milwaukee have had their struggles with scoring at times, and bringing in Bertans could undoubtedly help. His two-year, $14 million contract signed in the offseason makes this trade even more attractive for the Bucks.

Several teams across the league have shown interest in Bertans, but it is unclear what the Wizards would require in return. However, with another trip to the lottery likely coming for the Wizards, the Bucks do have a pick projected to fall just outside of the lottery that could certainly aid Washington’s re-tooling process.
