Giannis making the most of his minimal minutes

Neither for the first or the last time this season, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s minutes were significantly curtailed on Tuesday night, mostly due to just how incredibly dominant he was.

Still, that didn’t stop Antetokounmpo from filling up the stat sheet to a frankly absurd level against a Knicks team that he always seems to take a particular joy in playing against.

On this occasion, Giannis poured in 37 points in just 21 minutes of action, including a burst of 17 points in just over six minutes during the third quarter.

That phenomenal stretch spelled an end for Antetokounmpo’s night, as he had taken his place on the bench before the end of the third quarter and wasn’t required to return again.

For as much as James Harden‘s scoring continues to be lauded this season, Giannis’ average of 30 points per game in just 30.6 minutes is more than deserving of that kind of top-tier attention in its own right.
