Leveling up
Everything has been going swimmingly of late, with the only road bump of any sort coming on the second leg of an unusual home-and-home series with the San Antonio Spurs.
That game represents the Bucks’ only defeat since Christmas Day, as they have cruised through a portion of their schedule where their biggest challenge was really holding it all together on long-ish Western Conference road trip.
That’s to say, when the Bucks come head to head with the Celtics on Thursday night, they’ll be facing easily the most formidable opponent they’ve come up against in over three weeks.
That’s not to suggest that jump up in competition should be any cause for concern, though. Given how dominant and commanding the Bucks have been in their last three wins, it’s safe to say they’ll enter this matchup in top form.
Still, it remains worth noting, in terms of competition, as well as in terms of potential psychological edges come the postseason, this is Milwaukee’s most consequential game in some time.
