Donte making his mark

Along with Bledsoe, Donte DiVincenzo was undoubtedly a key player in Milwaukee’s ability to keep themselves in the game during their rough patches, and then to kick on and close out a win once they ultimately found their groove.

The box score by no means does justice to just how good DiVincenzo was in this game, as even by his own absurd standards, he seemed to be everywhere across the court all at once. DiVincenzo had a hand in everything good that the Bucks did, and absolutely tormented the Hornets with his suffocating defensive pressure.

DiVincenzo showed off his athleticism with an emphatic rejection on Terry Rozier that sent the Bucks’ former nemesis crashing to the floor. Donte also racked up two steals, with one of those being a particularly forceful rip away from Bismack Biyombo inside.

On the opposite side of the floor, DiVincenzo produced a fantastic mid-air assist to Kyle Korver without so much as even a glance, demonstrating the kind of vision that I wasn’t previously aware he had.

Of course, DiVincenzo was also reliably active on the glass in grabbing seven rebounds. Essentially, it’s his ability to positively impact the game in as many different ways as he managed to on this occasion that makes DiVincenzo such an increasingly tantalizing prospect for the Bucks.
