Energy off the bench

As the Bucks rallied in the second half, strong contributions and the sheer force of their style of play ensured the Bucks’ young bench duo left their mark on this game.

Donte DiVincenzo making that kind of impact is not necessarily a surprise at this point, but the same can’t quite be said for Sterling Brown.

For DiVincenzo, his 19 points on Wednesday matched his career-high, with that scoring coming on 8-of-14 from the field, and 3-of-7 from deep, along with an impressive eight rebounds.

In just 22 minutes, Brown produced one of his very best efforts of the season, scoring 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 1-of-3 from deep. Always a force on the glass, Brown also matched DiVincenzo’s eight rebound tally.

For the Bucks overall, the ability of DiVincenzo and Brown to effectively channel their relentless, high intensity energy is a big deal. Donte has certainly got a tighter handle on that than Sterling at this point, but Brown delivering a performance of this quality is encouraging all the same.
