Giannis Antetokounmpo

Let’s start with an easy one. The Milwaukee Bucks’ talisman put together a 2018-19 season that most players could only dream of in their wildest dreams, and to this point in 2019-20 he’s only entering even more rarefied air.

Playing in 48 of Milwaukee’s 54 games so far in the campaign, Giannis remains the driving force of everything that’s good about the Bucks.

Averaging 30 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, Giannis continues to improve his production, and to do so in fewer minutes year on year.

To go along with that, Antetokounmpo continues to work on rounding out his game, and has demonstrated a more varied selection of shots in his arsenal this season. Crucially, Antetokounmpo’s defense remains as formidable as ever, acting as a cornerstone of his team’s league best scheme.

The only knock on Antetokounmpo’s season to date has been his 61.4 percent free throw shooting, but even relative to the standards he set last year, this has been a phenomenal follow-up from what could soon be the league’s back-to-back MVP.
