Starters sharing the load

Giannis’ reliability in leading the way in no surprise, nor is the increasingly consistent support he gets from the other key cogs in the team’s starting lineup.

Khris Middleton continued his phenomenal season, looking red-hot at times while pouring in 28 points on 11-of-18 shooting. Middleton also came up with eight rebounds and three assists, as he remains one of the Bucks’ most outstanding performer and seems to continue his own individual improvement too.

Eric Bledsoe also put in a stellar performance of his own, slicing up the Pistons’ defense with 19 points and six assists, while also knocking down a couple of three-pointers for good measure.

Having shown notable signs of life offensively before the break, Brook Lopez also continued his good play to the tune of 18 points. That didn’t come with the kind of efficient three-point shooting that everyone hopes to see from Brook, but was yet another example of his wide ranging ability to make an impact on that end.

This might just have been the Pistons, but if the Bucks can continue to get contributions of this quality from key starters beyond Giannis, their position as the league’s best team will only grow all the more secure.
