Avoiding the clutch

The Bucks and the Thunder couldn’t be further apart in terms of how many close games the Thunder have played compared to the Bucks.

No team in the league has played more clutch time minutes this season than the Thunder have and they’ve gone 26-13 in such games, per NBA.com/stats. And it’s Paul who has accrued the most points during such situations and both Gilgeous-Alexander and Gallinari both rank in the top 20 in this department as well.

Oklahoma City has the 10th-best point differential at +3.2 points per game, which is only a step down from the +3.4 point differential they collected last season.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, have logged the fewest clutch time minutes by a wide margin this season and their +12.2 point differential is obviously making waves for the historic pace they’re on at this stage of the season.

Of course, the Bucks’ first meeting with the Thunder ranked as one of their rare games that was decided down to the wire and we’ll just have to see whether Friday night’s game will reach that same point.

Next. Robin Lopez stays steady, no matter the role changes. dark

The Bucks’ meeting with the Oklahoma City Thunder will tip off at 7.30 p.m. central time at Fiserv Forum Friday on Friday night.
