Giannis shows off his skills
After an eventful day of chatter in which he’d had minimal involvement and yet still been the center of attention, Giannis Antetokounmpo put his full range of skills on display on Friday night against the Thunder.
Logging just 27 minutes in total, and getting to watch the fourth quarter in comfort from the bench, Giannis completely dominated the Thunder all across the floor.
Giannis’ running and dunking were both on display, but so was his vision, his incredible touch around the basket, his improved shooting range, his dominant rebounding, and his relentless defensive pressure.
In the box score, that rounded out to Giannis racking up 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting, including 2-of-4 from deep, 13 rebounds, and six assists.
Additionally, by racking up 30 points in under 30 minutes for a ninth time on the campaign, Antetokounmpo set a new NBA record as per the league’s official Twitter account.
Following up a couple of slightly below par efforts by his own incredible standards, Giannis delivering this kind of performance with Middleton out was only all the more impressive and welcome.
