Living on the break

The Bucks generally play at a much faster pace than the Indiana Pacers, but they made all the more apparent as they emphasized pushing the pace in transition on Wednesday night.

Milwaukee racked up a total of 37 points on the fastbreak against the Pacers, a mark which represented a new season-high, just surpassing the 36 points in transition the Bucks scored against Orlando back in November.

Considering the Bucks, ranked third in the NBA, average 18.8 fastbreak points per game, this was a notably impressive performance when it came to the Bucks providing quick counters.

Milwaukee’s players seemed to be notably playing with their heads up and looking for outlet passes, and connected with them with great frequency.

The Pacers give up an average of 13.5 fastbreak points per game, meaning this was a real outlier from their perspective, and an area that the Bucks exploited to make a major difference in the game’s final outcome.

dark. Next. Bucks need to be more physical in future meetings with Miami Heat

Next up for the Bucks is a three-game road trip, which will start with a marquee matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.
