Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 109-95 loss to Denver Nuggets

Korver heating up
Certainly the most experienced Buck in action on Monday, Kyle Korver may also prove to be the most important of that group too if his shooting in Denver was a glimpse of anything to come in the postseason.
After missing some time of late with back soreness, Korver likely benefited from a chance to get some extra run and build up some rhythm. Having shown positive signs on Sunday against the Suns, backing that up with a starring effort on Monday offers real cause for encouragement.
Korver led the Bucks’ spirited charge against the Nuggets as in 24 minutes he racked up 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. More specifically, Korver went 5-of-11 from deep, while also contributing in other key areas across the floor.
Korver had four rebounds and four assists, while also coming up with a couple of standout defensive efforts. As a help defender, Korver can frequently be impactful in spite of the vulnerabilities his lack of foot speed can offer in one-on-one matchups.
Given that the Bucks have had their ups and downs with shooting of late, and just how crucial that proved to be in their playoff downfall last year, Korver hitting top form is by no means insignificant for Milwaukee at this time of year.
The Bucks will enjoy a couple of days off before returning to action on Thursday against the Boston Celtics at Fiserv Forum.
