vs. L.A. Clippers, 12/6/19
In what was one of the biggest victories of their season so far, Pat Connaughton helped lay a crucial spark for the Bucks in their 119-91 victory over the L.A. Clippers back in early December.
With the Bucks’ win streak standing at 13 games entering that high-profile clash versus a Clippers team that had just gotten to full strength with the return of All-Star forward Paul George, all eyes in the basketball world were on Milwaukee that Friday night.
After a slow start, Connaughton instantly gave the Bucks a much needed pick-me-up with a pair of triples that helped set the wheels in motion for the rout the Bucks would eventually enjoy over the course of the night. And Connaughton was able to bookend his performance with a string of strong finishes and dunks throughout the fourth quarter with the game well in hand.
In the end, Connaughton posted 13 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field (2-of-2 from three), along with four rebounds, an assist and a turnover and was a whopping +35 in just over 21 minutes of burn off the bench.
If and when the NBA returns following this hiatus, hopefully Connaughton will be able to add to his list of signature performances for the season.
