We kick off our look at the 2020 NBA Draft by delving into the game and journey of Villanova sophomore forward, Saddiq Bey.

The coronavirus has affected the entire sports world, including the lead up to and the 2020 NBA Draft.

Earlier this week, we looked at how it will impact the Milwaukee Bucks in terms of being able to scout prospects further in the pre-draft process. The same easily applies to players that have gradually risen up draft boards throughout the year as is the case of Villanova University forward, Saddiq Bey.

More from Bucks Draft

Before his sophomore season came to an untimely end, Bey stood as one of the leading faces for the Wildcats and the latest example of an overlooked recruit blossoming into a viable draft prospect, something that has increasingly become the forte of legendary Villanova head coach, Jay Wright.

In just a summer, Bey transformed his game into becoming a multi-faceted weapon and the Wildcats’ leading scorer throughout their 23-7 run this 2019-20 NCAA season. In his 31 appearances this season, Bey averaged 16.1 points on a .477./451/.769 slash line, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists across 33.9 minutes per contest.

Bey’s leap during his sophomore season has certainly made many take notice in the NBA world, as one NBA scout recently told Joe Juliano of the Philadelphia Inquirer:

"“He’s taken the next step as far as his development,” the scout said. “I think there’s a very good chance that he sticks at the next level because of his ability to make shots, his ability to defend, his size, his length, his ability to move laterally. He’s a very well-rounded player. He’s a smart player. I think with Villanova’s track record, you always know what you’re getting with these guys.”"

So without further ado, let’s dig into what Saddiq Bey’s strengths and weaknesses as a prospect, where draft experts rate him in this upcoming class and examine his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
