NBA Draft 2020 Prospect Watch: Tre Jones
Having declared for the 2020 NBA Draft over the weekend, we explore the game of sophomore Duke guard, Tre Jones.
From the moment he announced his intentions to return to Duke University for his sophomore season last year, Tre Jones had his sights set on the 2020 NBA Draft.
Having arrived to Durham along with the likes of Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish, Jones was the lone high-profile player from that recruiting class to stick with the Blue Devils for another season while those three took the leap into the NBA last summer.

Of course, Jones didn’t have to face the same level of pressure as those three had throughout the year and his underwhelming freshman campaign didn’t help matters in that regard.
However, Jones turned what was initially a step back into a positive as he became one of the Blue Devils’ signature contributors throughout the 2019-20 season and was eventually named both ACC Player of the Year and ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
In his 29 appearances this season, Jones finished with 16.2 points on .423/.361/.771 shooting splits, 6.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals across 35.4 minutes per contest.
So without further ado, let’s dive into the game of sophomore Duke guard Tre Jones and look at his strengths and weaknesses, see how draft experts evaluate him, and examine his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
