@ L.A. Clippers, Nov. 6
The clear frontrunner for Hill’s best performance of the 2019-20 season occurred back on Nov. 6 when the Bucks held on to beat the L.A. Clippers 129-124 at the Staples Center.
Hill set the aggressive tone for his season-best performance and was simply automatic in filling it up from 3-point range, especially as Clippers defenders gave the veteran point guard plenty of daylight to get his shot off. The Bucks didn’t mind by any means, especially as he accounted for one-third of the Bucks’ 18 triples on the night.
But Hill’s work wasn’t just limited to beyond the arc as he found his spots to dash through the paint and work in the pick-and-roll and even rose up to throw down a clutch second chance putback late in the fourth quarter to give the Bucks a 121-116 edge.
With Hill’s strong defensive prowess on full display with his endless work running through screens and trying to disrupt passing lanes and fend off a Clippers attack that was without their leading stars in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard for the night.
All in all, Hill finished with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting (6-for-7 from downtown), three rebounds, one steal and was a +9 in just over 24 minutes of play off the bench.
