Milwaukee Bucks: Sterling Brown’s 3 best games so far this season
November 8 at Utah Jazz
Following one of their worst halves of basketball in recent memory, the Bucks staged a second half comeback that very few saw coming back on November 8.
In the end, it wasn’t enough to turn around what ended up being a heartbreaking 103-100 loss to the Utah Jazz, but it was the work of Brown, among others, that helped spark such a remarkable second half turnaround.
Called upon by head coach Mike Budenholzer to give the Bucks some life after scoring just 35 points in the first half and trailing by 20 points at halftime, Brown did just that with his hustle, energy on the boards, and defensive versatility. That was especially key as the Bucks played small extensively as they fought their way back into the game.
Undoubtedly, Brown’s breakthrough moment came as the Bucks engineered one last late push and he quickly converted a tough layup through contact following a jump ball to bring the Bucks within 2 of the Jazz with 30 seconds to go. Still, the Bucks’ fortunes soon ran out as they botched a chance to potentially steal an unlikely victory before Bojan Bogdanovic‘s game-winning triple at the buzzer.
Brown finished with seven points on 3-of-8 shooting (0-for-3 from three), eight rebounds, two steals, one assist, one block and was a +1 in 22-and-a-half minutes of run off the bench.
