Milwaukee Bucks: Sterling Brown’s 3 best games so far this season
February 10 vs. Sacramento Kings
Brown doing damage against the Kings wasn’t just limited to Sacramento as he crafted another fine performance exactly a month later in the Bucks’ 123-111 victory when the Kings visited Milwaukee.
What set Brown’s play apart this time around was his strong 3-point shooting, which hasn’t been the case for most of the season. The SMU product’s range shooting helped the Bucks put together one of their biggest shooting games of the season as they collectively hit on 18 of their 42 attempts from distance.
That helped Brown to eventually supplant veteran forward Ersan Ilyasova in the starting lineup coming out of halftime to give the Bucks more athleticism and quickness to hold off the Kings. And that gave Brown more license to make impact, hustle plays and hold off the Kings’ strong shooting throughout the second and third quarters.
Brown went on to finish with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting (3-for-5 from three), six boards, two assists, two steals, one block as well as one turnover in 23 and a half minutes of run.
We may not know what Brown’s future holds in Milwaukee beyond this season, but hopefully he can add to his list of signature performance in the event the Bucks are able to see out their title hopes.
