March 30, 2018 at Los Angeles Lakers
For our first entry, we have to go back in time to March 30, 2018 when the Bucks took on the Los Angeles Lakers in a late season game during the 2017-18 campaign.
The Bucks were in the midst of a four-game road swing that was crucial to improving their playoff positioning with less than two weeks to go in the season. And on this night, Bledose was up for the challenge of staving off a feisty Lakers squad that pushed the Bucks to overtime in what ended up being a 124-122 overtime victory in favor of Milwaukee.
Bledsoe pulled the strings early to kickstart the Bucks’ offense and settled into launching away from downtown where he eventually connected on a career-high seven triples.
The success that Bledsoe generated from 3-point range eventually gave him the ability to burst by aggressive defenders on his way to the cup to propel the Bucks and avoid disaster against the Lakers. And it was Bledsoe who stood as the Bucks’ closer in the overtime period where he personally accounted for 11 of of the Bucks’ 12 points to push them over the edge.
All in all, Bledsoe finished with a Bucks’ career-high 39 points on 15-of-24 shooting (7-for-12 from three), six assists, four steals, three rebounds and was a +4 in just over 34 minutes of action.
