Milwaukee Bucks: Brook Lopez’s 5 best games in a Bucks uniform
November 11, 2018 at Denver Nuggets
For our first performance, who can possibly forget the night when Lopez staked his claim as Splash Mountain?
Lopez had already shown off 3-point shooting reinvention early on in the Bucks’ 2018-19 run, even coming off a 6-for-10 outing from long range in a overtime loss against the L.A. Clippers the previous day in Los Angeles. But it was the Bucks’ 121-114 win over the Denver Nuggets on November 11, 2018 that gave all Bucks fans the full breadth of how hot Lopez’s heat check shooting could burn.
That was in full force over the course of the Bucks’ 36-point third quarter where Lopez accounted for half of the Bucks’ scoring in that period. Along with that, six of Lopez’s career-high eight triples came over the course of that frame and he was doing so from well beyond the 3-point line and even with flying contests coming at his face.
Lopez’s massive shooting spark went on to carry the Bucks that night as he led the team in scoring and put an incredible cap on the team’s swing out West to continue their hot start to last season.
Lopez finished with 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting (8-for-13 from deep), four rebounds, two blocks, an assist, a steal and a turnover and was a +10 in 36-and-a half minutes of action. Long live the Splash Mountain game.
