Milwaukee Bucks: Best players to never make an All-Star appearance – Eric Bledsoe

We’re keeping it current for our first entry as starting Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe has come up short in his quest to become an All-Star since coming to Milwaukee two-and-a-half years ago.

Despite being on the best team over the last two seasons and possessing a resume befitting of an All-Star, Bledsoe has failed to join Antetokounmpo and Middleton in Charlotte and Chicago where each of the last two All-Star games have been played.

At the time of 2018-19 All-Star consideration, there was certainly an argument to be made that Bledsoe was slightly more deserving than Middleton as the Bucks only came away with two All-Stars, despite being a league-leading 43-14 going into last year’s break.

And with bigger names garnering the favor of fans, Bledsoe’s fate has rested in the minds of Eastern Conference coaches. Per Basketball-Reference, Bledsoe garnered the 16th-highest amount of votes during the initial round of voting for the 2019 All-Star Game and the 17th-most fan votes for this year’s edition in the Windy City.

Eventually, Bledsoe went on to average 15.9 points on .484/.329/.750 shooting splits (a 57.7 true shooting percentage), 5.5 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals. And by season’s end, Bledsoe was named to last year’s All-Defensive first team along with Antetokounmpo, which stands as the highest honor of his 10-year NBA career.
