While far from flashy, Desmond Bane comes to this NBA Draft class equipped with a ready-made skill set, the kind that may catch the attention of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Long before he entered the 2020 NBA Draft, Desmond Bane was well versed with being overlooked.

Despite compiling a productive résumé coming out of Seton Catholic High School in Richmond, Indiana, Bane only received one scholarship offer from a school from a Power 5 conference, that being TCU.

While in Fort Worth, Bane completely remade his body and became an incredibly consistent focal point within the Horned Frogs’ foundation.

And Bane did so while standing as one of the most lethal 3-point shooters in this draft class and showed off his all-around game in his senior campaign that was unfortunately cut short.

For inquisitive NBA teams that are weighing Bane and how he may fit in their system and organization, the 23-year-old’s work ethic and incredible consistency will be welcome to any team as he told the following to Bryan Kalbrosky of HoopsHype:

"“Consistent is the word to describe me. I only missed one practice. I never missed a game. I’m somebody you can count on day in and day out. Whether my role is to play five minutes or 10 minutes or if I ended up getting an assignment in the G League. I can step into any role for any organization that needs someone they can rely on. They don’t have to worry about anything going on off the court. I’ll be there early. I’m always just going to be the best teammate possible and be a big part of the organization.”"

In his 32 appearances with the Horned Frogs, Bane averaged 16.6 points on a .452/.442/.789 slash line, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals across 36 minutes per contest.

So without further ado, let’s break down Desmond Bane’s game by looking at his strengths and weaknesses, see how draft experts currently rate him and explore his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
