Milwaukee Bucks: Revisiting Kyle Korver’s 2019-20 season so far – Where Korver left off

As is the case with any veteran NBA player, for all that Korver has achieved and contributed over the years, there was still some element of doubt as to just how much he had left in the tank before the current campaign began.

The results since have proven that Korver’s shooting remains just as elite as ever. Paired alongside a player of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s caliber and play style, he also remains an incredibly valuable role player.

Proving a seamless fit for the Bucks both on the court and in the locker room, it’s fair to say that the 39-year-old has lived up to the hopes that even the most optimistic Milwaukee fans would have had for him.

Attempting 4.1 three-pointers in just 16.7 minutes per game, Korver has bought into Milwaukee’s let it fly strategy at a rate that equates to the second highest volume of any season in his career when adjusted per 36 minutes.

Even more importantly, Korver has combined volume with efficiency. Knocking down 41.5 percent of his attempts from long range.

Given his specialized skill-set and the advanced stage of his career, Korver is giving the Bucks all they could ask from him, and they’ll hope that continues at Walt Disney World.
