Milwaukee Bucks: Revisiting George Hill’s 2019-20 season so far – One big question moving forward
George Hill has not only been a standout performer for the Bucks this season, but also played a starring role in the team’s postseason run a year ago.
Given Eric Bledsoe’s history of playoff struggles, it was already expected that Hill would again be a crucial cog in the playoffs this year, but yet that seems even more relevant now.
With Bledsoe having just arrived in the bubble following his case of COVID-19, the Bucks’ starting point guard is behind his teammates in terms of preparations and ramping up his fitness, not to mention it remains to be seen how he’ll feel as he does work his way back into game shape post-COVID.
That means there may be an even greater workload placed on the likes of Hill and Donte DiVincenzo, and the veteran in particular will be under pressure to deliver.
On that front, one of the most important questions of all for the Bucks ahead of the restart will be whether Hill can regain the red-hot form he had enjoyed for the best part of 12 months.
His veteran savvy and know-how will make him valuable either way, but the Bucks could also really do with seeing the best of Hill on the court.
