Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for against Miami Heat in Orlando – Cutting down on turnovers

Continuing on the theme of execution, there will be no greater area of focus than trying to limit turnovers for the Bucks.

Usually one of Milwaukee’s strengths in the Mike Budenholzer era, the Bucks were incredibly sloppy with the ball in their scrimmage games, and yet even with more game time giving the opportunity to shake off that rust, things haven’t improved in the time since.

In fact, since the season restarted a week ago, the Bucks are ranked rock bottom in turnovers out of the 22 teams competing in Orlando, averaging a whopping 19 giveaways per game, per NBA.com/stats.

Bledsoe’s return should, and hopefully will, help the Bucks to turn the tide on that front, but other guards such as George Hill and Donte DiVincenzo will also need to greatly improve not just their ball-handling and playmaking levels, but their overall performance in the bubble.

With the Heat second only to the Lakers in terms of forcing opponent turnovers since the restart (18.7 per game), if the Bucks don’t get it together on this front on Thursday afternoon, they could end up paying a high price once again.
