Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 121-107 Game 3 win over Orlando Magic – Khris finds a spark

After a truly dismal first two games of the playoffs, there was understandable concern among Bucks fans about the play of All-Star forward Khris Middleton.

Having attempted just eight shots, and made only two of those, in Game 2, the Bucks desperately needed not just an improved version of Middleton but a considerably more aggressive version of him too.

Looking for shots early in the first quarter, Middleton’s 0-of-3 start wasn’t ideal, but it showed the intent and purpose necessary for him to eventually regain some semblance of his form.

Soon after, Middleton’s shot began to fall both from three-point range and his mid-range comfort zones, which instantly added an extra layer of fluidity to the Bucks’ offense given that one of its greatest threats were restored.

With 17 points on 7-of-17 shooting, this was by no means Middleton’s best effort, but it was a very welcome improvement considering where he was coming from. To put that in perspective, Middleton’s Game 3 scoring tally surpassed his combined totals from the first two games.

Now, the hope will just be that it’s onwards and upwards from here for Khris.
