Quotes:

Ranking Quickley 44th on his Big Board, The Rookie Wire’s Bryan Kalbrosky touched on Quickley’s potential in being able to light a spark within a team’s second unit at the NBA level:

"“Kentucky’s Immanuel Quickley won SEC’s Conference Player of the Year and is an explosive enough scorer and shooter to eventually lead the second unit for an NBA team in points per game. He increased his usage rate while decreasing his turnover rate, per John Chepkevich“"

Having ranked him 37th on his most recent Big Board, Woo pointed to the leap that Quickley enjoyed as a sophomore and weighed how the flaws in his game can be mitigated within the right fit in the NBA:

"“Quickley made a huge leap from his freshman to sophomore year, working himself into a steady player who defends the perimeter, can hit open shots and doesn’t have a glaring hole in his game. He’s not creative offensively and relies a good bit on drawing contact, and also isn’t a high-end athlete, which creates some questions as to what he hangs his hat on beyond catching and shooting in the pros. Quickley also isn’t a particularly inventive passer, and he’ll need to pair with a playmaking guard for best results. But he has a chance to be a low-maintenance role player who adds some value on both ends of the floor, and he’s a solid option in this part of the draft.”"
