Milwaukee Bucks 2020 NBA Draft: 5 guards to target with 24th overall pick
5 guards for Milwaukee Bucks to target at 24th overall pick – Tyrell Terry
Our final target, Tyrell Terry, is someone the Bucks seemingly have on their radar as they have reportedly met with him over this draft process, according to Terry himself.
After some question as to whether he would see out the process entirely, Terry committed to sticking it out and entering the NBA this year amid plenty of questions as to where he will ultimately be selected. Those questions even extend to some his physical frame, or lack thereof in many ways.
But it’s Terry’s skill level and perimeter shooting that serves as the basis for his NBA potential and a significant reason why the Bucks have clued in on the Stanford product. In his 31 appearances for the Cardinal last year, Terry averaged 14.6 points on .441/.408/.891 shooting splits, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals across 32.6 minutes per game.
The variety and rate at which Terry can shots from 3-point range would be an incredibly strong asset for the Bucks and what’s even more tantalizing is the fact that Terry is only scratching the surface in this regard. While his playmaking and ability to lead an offense will also grow in time, Terry’s shot making and 3-point prowess would be immense within the framework of the Bucks’ system.
Terry’s decision to stick it out and keep his name in the draft will soon pay off and perhaps there won’t be much of question to where he ultimately lands in the order. Whether that’s in Milwaukee is another question entirely.
