Milwaukee Bucks: 3 threats to sign Kyle Korver in free agency – Los Angeles Lakers

Similarly to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Lakers were also among the teams that Kyle Korver considered signing with last offseason. With Los Angeles now coming off a championship and already the favorites to repeat next year, Korver could consider them again if he believes they are his best bet to compete for a title before he retires.

Korver played with reigning Finals MVP LeBron James for a short stint on the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the two developed a strong bond. The chemistry between the tandem is there, and perhaps reuniting with James could be an enticing option for Korver. If that is the case, it is not hard to believe Los Angeles would also be interested in bringing in the swingman.

Despite winning the NBA title this season, their bench 3-point shooting is something they could look to upgrade this offseason. Their reserves shot a mere 33.5 percent from behind the arc in the regular season, 22nd in the entire association. It was more of the same in the playoffs, as while they shot the second most attempts from deep at 14.0 per game, they connected on just 33.3 of those tries.

By now, it is common knowledge that Korver’s forte comes from behind the arc, and the recurring theme throughout this article is that any team that needs a spark from deep off the bench could use his services.
