Giannis Antetokounmpo: 3 free agents that pair well with the MVP – Joe Harris

The Athletic’s Eric Nehm ($$) recently listed unrestricted free agent Joe Harris as a feasible target for the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason, and it is clear to see why. Milwaukee is in the market for shooters to pair alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo to space the floor, and Joe Harris unquestionably fits the bill.

Spending the season with the injury-riddled Brooklyn Nets, Harris averaged a career-high 14.5 points on .486/.424/.719 shooting splits, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Harris’ 3-point shooting is certainly his most desirable characteristic, averaging 42.6 percent from deep over the first six seasons of his career.

That 3-point prowess makes Joe Harris an easy plug-in next to Giannis Antetokounmpo, giving him a lethal scoring threat on the wing. However, as sensible of a target as Harris is, landing him poses its fair share of difficulty. As Nehm pointed out, the most the Bucks could offer the guard is their $9.7 million mid-level exception, far below what Brooklyn could give him.

Whether that could be enough to entice Harris away from the Nets is surely in question, especially with Brooklyn shaping up to be right in the mix of title contention next season. Whatever the case might be, there is no doubt that Joe Harris would be an ideal free agent target to pair up with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
