Giannis Antetokounmpo: 3 free agents that pair well with the MVP
By Dalton Sell
As the offseason approaches, the Milwaukee Bucks must surround Giannis Antetokounmpo with the proper talent through trade and free agency.
After winning his second consecutive Most Valuable Player award, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future with the Milwaukee Bucks is a headline dominating the offseason.
Shortly after Milwaukee’s early postseason exit, Giannis unsurprisingly assured that he would not request a trade this offseason and will play out the final year of his current deal with the Bucks. The team can offer the Greek Freak a 5-year supermax extension this offseason, but there is legitimate reason to believe he will pass on considering it, electing to wait until next offseason before deciding his next move.

With Milwaukee on the clock, it is no secret that they plan to make some upgrades to this roster that will give them their best shot at winning a title next season. While the trade market is their best bet to make a significant splash in the offseason, the front office will also scour the free agent market to bring in some support.
The Bucks will be put to the test in free agency, working with their mid-level exception worth approximately $9.6 million and the bi-annual exception, worth about $3.9 million. That limited financial flexibility leaves Milwaukee’s hands tied for the most part in terms of making any top-heavy moves, but not impossible.
Standing atop the Bucks’ wishlist is shooting and playmaking, and although this upcoming free agent class is not the deepest, there are still some enticing options. Without further ado, here are three impending free agents that would be fantastic fits next to Giannis Antetokounmpo.
