Giannis Antetokounmpo: 3 free agents that pair well with the MVP – Justin Holiday

Similarly to Joe Harris, Justin Holiday also could be an intriguing target to bolster Milwaukee’s depth on the perimeter. The swingman will be a hot commodity on the free agent market this offseason, and his fit next to Giannis Antetokounmpo needs very little convincing for a team searching for two-way wings.

Appearing in 73 games this season, Holiday averaged 8.3 points on .428/.405/.791 shooting splits, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. Holiday’s 40.5 percent shooting from 3-point territory this season was a career-high, and that type of floor spacing is exactly what Milwaukee needs. Heaving 4.5 attempts per game from behind the arc, Holiday would fit likely a glove within the Bucks’ “let it fly” system.

On the other side of the ball, Holiday also deserves some praise for his efforts. The guard averaged 1.2 steals per game this season, proving to be a pesky defender for opponents. His 6’6″ stature makes him versatile defensively, able to defend several positions well for a player slated as a shooting guard.

What Holiday’s market in free agency is shaping up to be is a mystery at this point, but the Milwaukee Bucks should make a pitch. Holiday’s stellar 3-point shooting and defensive versatility would make him a fantastic addition to the lineup, particularly one that involves Giannis Antetokounmpo. If Justin Holiday is searching for a new home this offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks should look to lure him away from their Central Division rivals.
