5 sleepers for Milwaukee Bucks to target with 24th overall pick – Payton Pritchard

Turning our attention to someone we have not yet profiled, Payton Pritchard is someone that could catch the Bucks’ attention, given their current roster needs.

Pritchard is several months removed from putting a big bow on his four-year career at Oregon University after he was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year last season. Over his 31 appearances for the Ducks last year, Pritchard averaged 20.5 points per game on .468/.415/.821 shooting splits, 5.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 36.6 minutes per game.

On the other hand, Pritchard’s lack of explosiveness and average physical tools are glaring concerns as it relates to his ability to compete and fight against being a defensive liability.

Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman reported late last month that there is some speculation as to whether an NBA team holding a late first round pick has made a promise to Pritchard. Hmm, I do know of a team that holds a late first rounder…
