Milwaukee Bucks: Ranking 5 potential trade candidates this offseason – No. 3 Bogdan Bogdanovic, Sacramento Kings

The Bogdan Bogdanovic interest continues growing for the Bucks, according to a recent reporting from ESPN’s Zach Lowe. As Lowe detailed in his recently released offseason preview piece:

"“In any case, the Bucks will be active. They love Bogdan Bogdanovic, a restricted free agent with the Sacramento Kings who would require a sign-and-trade; the Bucks have kicked around scenarios in which they also absorb Harrison Barnes, sources have told ESPN. It is unclear if they have engaged the Kings in real discussions; it’s early. (Acquiring any player in a sign-and-trade would trigger the hard cap.)”"

Milwaukee’s “love” for Bogdanovic is surely justifiable, given his floor spacing capabilities. The Serbian guard shot 37.2 percent from behind the arc on a career-high 7.2 attempts per game this season, and is a career 37.4 shooter from deep.

For a Milwaukee team that lives by a “let it fly” mentality, Bogdanovic would be a natural fit, giving the Bucks a lethal threat on the perimeter to complement Giannis Antetokounmpo.

On top of that, Bogdanovic is a serviceable playmaker, averaging 3.4 assists per game this season, despite not being Sacramento’s primary ballhandler. Two of the most apparent needs on Milwaukee’s wishlist this offseason are shooting and playmaking, both of which Bogdanovic does well.

Any potential avenue in trying to acquire Bogdanovic is far easier said than done for the Bucks, given his impending restricted free agency. With Lowe noting that Milwaukee is entertaining the idea of taking on Harrison Barnes, owed $60.7 million over the next three seasons, they are understandably intrigued with Bogdanovic.
