Milwaukee Bucks: 3 replacements for Wesley Matthews in free agency – Langston Galloway

Last but certainly not least, Langston Galloway is a free agent target that several teams will have their eye on this offseason. As the theme of this article dictates, the Bucks should undoubtedly be one of the teams trying to lure him in.

The Saint Joseph’s product had one of the best seasons of his six-year career in 2019-20, having averaged 10.3 points on .435/.399/.859 shooting splits, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game for the Detroit Pistons.

Having launched a career-high 5.0 shots from beyond the perimeter per game this season, Galloway’s 39.9 percent succession rate was also career-high. That type of floor spacing could do wonders paired alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, something that the Bucks will have to take into account with any free agent consideration, making Galloway an ideal complementary fit.

Galloway is surely not the defender that Wesley Matthews is, but his prolific long-range shooting is a viable substitute for that. The 28-year-old’s career year could see him earn a somewhat rewarding deal in free agency, and Milwaukee makes sense as a potential destination as they try to find a replacement for Matthews on the open market.
