How does Bryn Forbes’ style of play fit with the Milwaukee Bucks?

The Bucks thrive off of the success of their shooters from behind the arc, and that is Forbes’ specialty. A career 40 percent 3-point shooter, Forbes has made a basketball living at every level shooting the ball, and he will give the Bucks a much-needed spark when letting it fly.

That shooting prowess from downtown will make easily adaptable to the Bucks’ system under Budenholzer and especially when playing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. The need for floor spacing around the two-time MVP is always prevalent, and it could be feasible to believe Forbes’ ability to shoot will have him play a similar role to that of Kyle Korver did last season.

Now to compare Forbes to one of the most prolific sharpshooters in NBA history may be far-fetched to some, but the plug-and-play role that Forbes could have in Milwaukee may pair him with Antetokounmpo regularly. And not for nothing, Gregg Popovich raved about the guard’s shooting capabilities constantly over his time in San Antonio, even having compared him to two-time league MVP Stephen Curry in December of 2017.

Forbes will never come to the level of Curry’s shooting ability and overall gravity, but being able to play off of Antetokounmpo’s gravity and hit shots made him a justifiable free agent target for the Bucks’ front office.
