Goal No. 2 – Showcase veteran experience

The Bucks will mark D.J. Augustin’s ninth stop in his well-traveled 12-year NBA career, and as mentioned previously, he has described it as something unlike any situation he has previously been in.

Augustin has made it a point that he wants to win a championship at this stage in his career, and he felt like Milwaukee gave him an opportunity to capitalize on that. In fact, he apparently made a strong impression in his first week of camp with the Bucks, as head coach Mike Budenholzer had some high praise for the guard during his media availability.

"“One thing that has stood out is D.J. Augustin in the first few days of practice. His ability to be a playmaker and organize a second unit, and to play really well without Khris or Giannis on the court if they happen to be off the court… He’s just a veteran, but he’s really good and has stood out to me in these first few days of practices.”"

At 33-years-old, Augustin is the oldest player currently on this Milwaukee roster. Although he is not the most playoff experience, having played in just 38 total games, Augustin brings a much-needed dose of veteran leadership to the Bucks accumulated from his 12 years in the NBA.
