A potential super team after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s extension?

For as long as Antetokounmpo is remaining in Milwaukee, the prospect of the Bucks being able to build a super team that exists.

It’s safe to acknowledge that while knowing the current core for the Bucks has helped fully optimize the back-to-back MVP to this point. Add in Holiday and the Bucks are looking to rid of their playoff demons and make good on their championship potential.

With Antetokounmpo under contract, the star-studded 2021 free agent class has taken a significant hit throughout this offseason and run up to the 2020-21 campaign. And the Bucks could end up profiting from having someone of Antetokounmpo’s magnitude in the mix to field players that want to win a championship now and in the seasons to come.

Whether it leads to the Bucks landing another big fish down the road, the presence of Antetokounmpo will lead wandering eyes to look to Milwaukee. But as we mentioned earlier, the Bucks’ best trade assets are currently their core players themselves.

The fact that the Bucks could be thought of in that lens is still mind-boggling, given the perception that has followed them since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar left town more than 45 years ago. By having Antetokounmpo on the books for the next six seasons, the possibilities are endless. This era of contending for championships continues forward.

Now, it will be on the Bucks to capitalize on this window and eliminate any possibility of chatter piping back up that Antetokounmpo could ask out if they fall from their current position at the top of the league.
