A dream Milwaukee Bucks season comes to a halt

Not long after the Bucks had won 50 games last season, the world had changed.

While the Bucks weren’t directly involved and were gearing up to host the Boston Celtics for a nationally televised clash, the NBA had effectively shut down on that fateful March 11 date as a result of Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert’s positive COVID-19 case coming to light.

It had essentially served as the inflection point for the awareness of the coronavirus pandemic running rampant in North America and life as we all knew it. In the immediate aftermath of it, it wasn’t a matter of when life and basketball would return back to normal, it was a matter of if some semblance of normalcy would return back both on and off the court.

Through it all, the NBA navigated their return-to-play with plenty of patience, all of which led to the concept of playing down in a bubble in Walt Disney World down in Orlando, Florida to restart the season in late July of this year.

For all Bucks fans wondering if all the time off would derail their historic pace on their way to a bid for the NBA Finals, nothing about their time in the bubble would go to plan.
