Looking to extend the win streak in a tension-filled matchup

Including the postseason, the Bucks have defeated the Detroit Pistons 11 consecutive times. Having defeated them in every game since December of 2018, the Bucks will certainly look to keep their win streak going in a matchup that might have some hard feelings.

Of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Pistons’ big man Blake Griffin have butted-heads since an incident in December of 2019. It started when Antetokounmpo fell to the floor following a hard foul, where Griffin gave him a light shove and proceeded to step over him. Giannis took exception to this, but the situation de-escalated quickly before a skirmish could break out.

After the win, Antetokounmpo spoke of his frustration of dealing with the endless physicality and how heated he got in the moment.

Whether there is any bad blood between Antetokounmpo and Griffin remains to be seen, but keeping this win streak alive is obviously he and Milwaukee’s biggest priority. Antetokounmpo is never looking for extra motivation in individual matchups, as he is just looking to win.

Now, we will have to see if Giannis and the Bucks can ride the momentum built up from their dominant win over the Chicago Bulls.
