Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for in rematch versus Detroit Pistons
Reinforcements on the way for Detroit?
The Pistons entered the first clash of their back-to-back with the Bucks shorthanded, headlined by the absence of All-Star forward Blake Griffin.
Midway through their 10-point loss, the Pistons were dealt quite the scare as rookie point guard Killian Hayes left the game after awkwardly landing when attempting to poke away the ball away from Jrue Holiday upon getting back on defense.
Although he was initially listed as doubtful with a hip strain, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported early Wednesday morning that Hayes had suffered a labral tear in his hip and is presumably out indefinitely.
So while the Pistons will be without franchise hopeful, potentially having Griffin in the fold could give a different dimension to what we saw Monday night. And who can forget the war of words that he and Giannis Antetokounmpo have had traded back and forth at times since Griffin arrived to the Motor City nearly three years ago?
Time will only tell how much of a difference that will make going into the night, but the Pistons showed that while they may lack talent, they will give all they can to the Bucks over 48 minutes.
