Milwaukee Bucks: Stats standing out – 117.8 offensive rating
The Bucks have been the best defensive team throughout the past two years, but they have flipped it to offense through 13 games this season. Milwaukee currently leads the league in offensive rating at 117.8, helping them score an astounding 120.2 points per game.
It is no secret that the Milwaukee Bucks have a star-studded starting five, and they have been leading the charge. With DiVincenzo and Holiday in the backcourt, Khris Middleton on the wing, along with Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez in the frontcourt, this unit was originally pegged as potentially the best in the Eastern Conference.
While the jury is still out on that, especially following Harden being traded to the Brooklyn Nets, there is no doubting that Milwaukee’s five has been fantastic, particularly offensively. This group has been firing on all cylinders, currently ranking third among the 29 other starting units in the association with 1,073 total points, and they are doing it beyond efficiently.
The second unit has also played their part in this new and improved offense, currently sitting with 490 points on the season, the fourth-most in the league. Bobby Portis, Bryn Forbes, and the rest of the reserves have shown that they can provide a sizeable scoring punch off the bench each night, and that has undoubtedly helped this team put points on the board.
The Milwaukee Bucks are having their way offensively to start the season, and the best part is that they currently lead the league in 3-point percentage at 43.5 percent.
Floor spacing has been an emphasis since head coach Mike Budenholzer took over, and after some efforts to shore up their shooting this offseason, it is paying off in this thriving offense.
