Grading Bryn Forbes’ growing stint with the Milwaukee Bucks

Moving on to someone who has seen regular minutes in the Bucks’ rotation, Bryn Forbes has filled out a necessary role within the Bucks’ rotation.

Forbes has played a part in why the Bucks haven’t felt the loss of veteran sharpshooter Kyle Korver to this part in the season, especially as Forbes is averaging 7.5 points per game while shooting 41.2 percent from three over his 16.6 minutes per game.

Korver is a very apt comparison too, given that Forbes and two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo have formed a quick bond that Antetokounmpo has historically searched out with shooters of Forbes’ ilk. To that point, Antetokounmpo has had a hand in creating eight of Forbes’ 21 triples on the season.

The off-ball shooting threat that Forbes poses within the Bucks’ offense has given plenty of room to operate offensively and he’s shown a nice little in-between game as well.

Unfortunately, Forbes’ defensive limitations have proven true and it’s certainly capped his minutes on the court. And whether Forbes’ scoring outbursts can surface against high-level competition is one of the bigger questions he has to answer as the season goes along.
