Milwaukee Bucks: 3 takeaways from 98-85 win against OKC Thunder

Second takeaway from win over OKC Thunder — Milwaukee Bucks get a big night from Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo played a big part in Milwaukee’s aforementioned third quarter run that helped the Bucks pull ahead, but he dominated beyond those select 12 minutes.
The Greek Freak put together another heroic performance for the Bucks by finishing with 29 points on a stellar 10-of-20 shooting from the field. Antetokounmpo’s 50 percent shooting night was bogged down several ticks by his issues from behind the arc, managing to connect on just one of his five 3-point attempts.
However, he did provide optimism at the charity stripe, where he shot an impressive 8-of-10 on the night. Giannis has been much improved with his free-throw shooting lately, and hopefully, this is a sign of things to come moving forward. In addition to his top-tier scoring night, Antetokounmpo hauled in 19 rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and three blocks, all of which were team-highs in the game.
While Antetokounmpo insisted that this game against Oklahoma City was not a definite must-win for the struggling Bucks, it certainly felt like it, and he played like it. Giannis pieced together another of his many MVP caliber performances this year, and thankfully, this one resulted in a win for the Bucks.
