Milwaukee Bucks: A realistic wish list for upcoming trade deadline

Second trade deadline wish for the Milwaukee Bucks — Bring in another bench scorer
Sticking with Milwaukee’s bench, they could scour the market to look for another scorer to bring into the fold. The Bucks’ reserves rank 16th in scoring this season by managing to put up just 35.3 points per game this season.
Sixth man Bobby Portis has been the team’s main contributor in the second unit, pouring in 10.8 points while shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 48.7 percent from behind the arc, the latter two being career-highs. Portis has been having a fantastic year, but that should not overshadow the efforts of Bryn Forbes, who is chipping in 9.6 points on .478/.471/.741 shooting splits.
However, aside from these two, the Bucks need another player to help put points on the board off the bench. Backup point guard D.J. Augustin has been disappointing, Pat Connaughton has never been the scoring type, Torrey Craig is a defensive expert, and Thanasis Antetokounmpo is mainly an energizer. Adding another piece that can generate offense could pay dividends down the road, and the team should weigh their options.
One potential target that fits the bill is Alec Burks, the nine-year veteran currently playing for the New York Knicks. Burks is having a productive season up in the Big Apple as the Knicks find themselves competing in the playoff picture. Still, with an overlapping amount of guards in the backcourt, Milwaukee should check his availability.
The 29-year-old would give the team another ball handler off the bench that can create his own shot, which could be useful when the postseason rolls around. If New York says Burks is off the table, there are still several other bench pieces they could pursue before the deadline passes.
